Privacy Policy

Luv College ("Luv", "we", "us") is a digital academic world for high-school and university students, operated by Abdulaziz Alghamdi, an individual/sole proprietor. Luv College is a digital academic community, not an accredited institution, so joining doesn't enroll you anywhere.

Account and authentication data

When you create an account, we store your email address and user ID. Your password is handled by Supabase Auth and is never stored directly by the Luv application itself. Our authentication and hosting providers may also process technical session information, such as IP address, browser user agent, and session cookies, to keep you signed in and keep the service secure.

Profile information

Luv may store the profile details you provide, including your display name, username, bio, avatar emoji, avatar image, academic stage, institution or custom institution, grade or year, major, graduation year, subjects, interests, dream institution, owned and equipped badges, theme, Cupid look, onboarding status, study streak information, and subscription tier.

Study materials

When you upload or create study materials, Luv stores material titles, material type, subject, content, extracted text, file storage paths, file type, file size, page count, and processing status or errors. Uploaded materials are also processed to generate vector embeddings from their content, so Cupid can retrieve relevant information when answering your questions.

Cupid conversations

Luv stores your Cupid session titles and subjects, the messages you send and the responses Cupid generates, message timestamps, files attached to messages, and your monthly Cupid request counts. Previous Cupid conversations are retained so you can reopen them and continue your study history at any time.

Internal Cupid telemetry

To operate the service, Luv stores internal usage and cost telemetry for Cupid, such as the AI model used, input and output token counts, whether retrieval or images were used, estimated credits or cost, and the related material where applicable. This is used for service operation, usage monitoring, reliability, and internal administration, and is not shown publicly.

Payments and subscriptions

Luv uses Paddle as its payment processor. We store subscription-related information such as your Paddle subscription ID, Paddle customer ID, product and price IDs, subscription tier, subscription status, billing period, cancellation status, and payment environment. Luv does not store your full payment-card number; card details are handled by Paddle.

Cupid uses third-party AI and model infrastructure to process your requests and generate responses. This means the content of your messages, and relevant excerpts from your study materials, are processed by that infrastructure to produce answers. We encourage you not to share highly sensitive personal information in Cupid conversations.

If you complete onboarding and choose a username, parts of your profile may be visible to other signed-in Luv students through the Campus feature, such as your name, username, avatar, institution, major, and graduation year. Information shown through Campus is intended to be visible to other authenticated students, so please avoid putting sensitive personal information in your public profile fields. Your email, Cupid conversations, study materials, and subscription details are not shown on Campus.

Luv currently does not use third-party analytics or tracking platforms such as Google Analytics, PostHog, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Sentry, or Vercel Analytics. This does not mean no technical data exists at all: our authentication and hosting providers may process technical information as needed to operate and secure the service.

Authentication and session technologies used by Luv may rely on cookies or similar technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in and operate the service. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your account, profile, study materials, Cupid conversations, and related application data remain stored while your account is active.

There is currently no self-service account deletion option in Luv. If you would like your account and data deleted, email us at hey@luv.college and we will handle your request in accordance with applicable requirements.

Depending on the laws that apply to you, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access it, correct it, or request its deletion. To exercise any of these rights, or to ask a privacy question, contact us at hey@luv.college.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls on stored data. That said, no online service can guarantee absolute security, so we encourage you to use a strong password and to be thoughtful about what you share in public profile fields.

Luv relies on third-party infrastructure and services to operate. These include Supabase for authentication and data storage, Paddle for payment processing, and third-party AI and model infrastructure for Cupid. Each of these services processes information as needed to provide its part of the product. We do not sell your personal information.

Luv College is intended for students, including high-school and university students. We have not yet established a formal minimum-age policy, so please provide only information appropriate for your age and the laws that apply to you. This section will be updated once Luv establishes its official minimum-age policy. Parents or guardians with questions can reach us at hey@luv.college.

We may update this Privacy Policy as Luv grows. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Luv after an update means the new policy applies going forward.
